BigToys Playground Equipment Warranty
In an era of 100 year and "lifetime" warranties, BigToys feels that the following warranty offers an honest and responsible commitment that reflects the likely useful life of our playground equipment. We view warranty as a contract with the customer and not a marketing gimmick. We believe our commitment is a realistic one that offers an appropriate level of protection while not giving our customers false expectations of an unrealistic product life span.
BigToys, Inc. LIMITED WARRANTY:
1. Classification of material in relation to years of warranty
The warranty with respect to failure due to material or production defects on painted metal components and solid recycled plastic components is limited to 50 years commencing on the date of delivery. Steel and recycled plastic components are warranted against failure due to deterioration that impairs the structural integrity of the unit.*
The warranty with respect to failure due to material or production defects on engineered timber and hollow plastic components is limited to 15 years commencing on the date of delivery. All conditioned wood components on play equipment are warranted against structural failure due to deterioration from fungi or insects.
The warranty with respect to failure due to material or production defects in net construction is limited to 5 years commencing on the date of delivery.
The warranty with respect to failure due to material or production defects on moveable plastic and metal is limited to 2 years commencing on the date of delivery.
2. Limited Warranty coverage of defective parts
The warranty is limited to parts produced by BigToys and its vendors. Such damaged parts will be replaced by BigToys, Inc. and will be delivered to the customers address free of charge, labor excluded.
3. Warranty coverage applies only if products have been properly installed and maintained.
The warranty is not effective if products have not been installed properly according to the instructions provided by BigToys Inc., or maintained correctly according to the BigToys Maintenance Manual.
4. No coverage for wear, tear, misuse or vandalism
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, surface corrosion on metal parts, discolored surfaces and other cosmetic issues or failures due to misuse or vandalism.
*Special coatings on metal components are required for installations within five miles of salt water. Please contact your sales representative for details.
